There are many other ways to fuck with government organizations, take away their teeth and funding and they’re essentially a lame duck, then when the delayed effects are felt in the next admin, it’s blamed on them instead of looking at how it got so bad.
Same, we had Slack and our company got bought and now we have to use Teams, it’s a downgrade in almost every way EXCEPT power automate. I love power automate, and it can do so much more then Slacks automation EXCEPT for being able to trigger flows based on emojis, being able to post in private channels and ease of setup.

It’s a hard sell to say they aren’t at least complicit, BUT realistically what could they do?
They have heavy US contracting ties, who’s to say the US govt wouldn’t pull funding over non-support of Israel.
I’d have to guess a lot of the time is companies eating the cost for their people to fly first class rather then it being common for a rando looking to take a flight booking first class

So I definitely treat LLMs like enhanced search, have gotten wrong info but it pointed me in the right direction, in those instances it’s still helpful as long as you know it very well will provide confidently inaccurate info
I’m a different person then who you were replying to, I know that LLMs do hallucinate/lie/make up sources, but you can quickly check if the sources are real

Lemmy is full of LLM haters, I get where they’re coming from but they take it to the extreme every single time.
Back around android 3-6 it was more common, really hasn’t been a thing for a while IMO. Have non-daily driver Oneplus 5t and 6t, both Lineage os 14, they work well.
I bought maytag washer/dryer oddly only the dryer is “smart” and it is just notifying when it’s done, but it works just fine without internet as well. Looked around a good bit before we landed on Maytag and they’ve been great for the few years so far we’ve had them, however it’s just my wife and I, not a ton of use compared to a whole family so ymmv
