The problem is that something unexpected happend, so now we gotta understand it.
Was it caused by something during ascent? Now that’s a problem.
If it’s something that was caused during decent we “only” need to understand how to spot it, but it won’t be a critical flight safety problem.
Windows 8.1 was actually really good with the new UI that was closer to the other Windows versions, but with 8 underneath. Only issue was the same as with 7, that there were still elements of the previous Option menus, causing a lot of similar options to be in 2 completely different menus which made no sense.
The fp5 has a SD-Slot btw.
But yeah, I’m also hoping for more repairability in phones, however if you want to buy a new one in the next 2 years I seriously doubt that major manufacturers will have DIY repairable phones by then.
Fairphone can run GOS just fine btw. eOS is just also “approved” by fairphone themselves
EDIT: no they don’t, I was wrong
You definitely pay a premium for repairability and ethics, but IMO it’s worth it. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I don’t think microSD has the write speed for that, might be more useful for HD surveillance cameras
See here
Probably not, however depending on how they phrase it I doubt there would be extreme consequences and even then, there have been countless examples of athletes refusing to return to their home countries and instead staying in the host countries.
Huh, so you’re a supporter of forcing people out of their homes when they’ve committed no crime other than have the misfortune of being born in the wrong country? Where have I seen this one before…
Reading comprehension just isn’t your thing is it?
I literally said it’s about them advertising their country and not speaking out despite having the platform. It has nothing to do with where they’re born.
I’m not though? They’re Israelis that have the platform to speak out against the genocide and are not doing so, but instead are ‘advertising’ for their country.
I haven’t looked at the dox, but if they have apartments/properties outside of Israel, it’ll lead to some good ol’ vandalism. With addresses inside Israel it’s most likely gonna be harassment in the form of letters and packages. Same goes for phone numbers and email addresses.
Essentially, make their lives as uncomfortable as possible. And because they know they’ve been doxed, it’s unlikely to lead to physical violence, because I doubt they’re stupid enough to stay at (now publicly known) addresses outside of Israel.
Yes. They are supporting genocide. And it’s not even “silence is compliance” but they’re literally ‘advertising’ their country during a genocide. And yes I know that the Olympics is an extremely big and important thing for athletes, but that’s exactly why you have the option to compete without representing a nation.
Fuck that. They have an international platform to say something against the ongoing genocide and are instead supporting it by participating under the Israeli flag.
Look at Answer in Progress’s video on dark mode, the initial question is a different one about design, but it goes a bit in the difference and dis- versus advantages between dark and light mode.
True, I meant cinnamon, which (IIRC) was the default/suggested to you when you went to the website.
Because the UI is similar to windows, so it will feel more familiar to (ex-)windows users
It allegedly also affects Edge and Vivaldi, so it seems to be chromium not chrome
Yes
