I’m glad you guys are looking at the bright side of life 😊
Keep it light, keep it moving.
I am doing no harm.

That’s a fair point, but I still don’t want them near my taint!
But think of the gains!
We have plenty of support systems, but we have too much corruption. I think we’re working on that now with our first female prez.
Much lower risk of getting robbed
Maybe that works in Sweden, but in other places you get shot if you’re not carrying money with you 😅
But the date the video was uploaded? Who does that even help?
There’s gaming content that expires within a month, especially with frequent balance and other game changes, like with League of Legends. I won’t watch a video that’s weeks old because what’s being featured probably doesn’t work anymore after a patch.
And the creepiness. Advertisers can deduce many habits based on the information you give them. Some techniques can tell when people are pregnant before they do based on their pathing inside the store, for instance.
It’s fine, there are open source projects underway. If any one of them gains traction, it could happen to Mozilla what happened to Unity with Godot. Here’s to hoping they get their act straight sooner tan later.
It’s crazy how we’ve gone from a seemingly inescapable monopoly on office software in the 2000s to it being optional. I remember working at a previous job where everyone used Google Sheets by choice and they would raise their eyebrows if you spun up Excel.
Yeah, I have no preference. Both are nice for very different reasons.
I don’t want to insult your intelligence, but you may just be tech-savvy, or at the very least, tech-literate. I also don’t have a problem with either because I simply follow the UI logic as the average Jane should.
My big question is, why not fork the original first and commercialize that instead. So much forking around the wrong ways! /s
2016
2020
2024! 🤞
I knew someone who got caught up in their pyramid marketing scheme. The prizes were some low quality shit. The watch they won got badly scratched and the wristband’s pin fell off the same day from regular use. It was pretty funny watching it disintegrate in real time.
It doesn’t have to be free but come on.
I beg to differ! My degree was free for all intents and purposes, and no, it didn’t take away from the challenge or the quality of education. I cried blood tears in order to graduate but it was worth it.
Yeah, I think there was something like that floating around. I imagine it’s costly, though, but it’d be nice to have.
I like the concept and I have it installed, but I don’t contribute to it because I find it challenging to think of better titles. It’s not easy like with Sponsorblock that I regularly submit to. For example, sometimes I need to watch most of the video first to be accurate, and by then I’ve already moved on to the next video. Other times it’s simply hard for me to condense the content of the video accurately into so many characters when the original title is way off.
I do like the way it makes all the titles lowercase, though. I find that changes the tone of the video feed quite a bit.
It’s so bright I feel it in my retinas.
