Doesn’t help when you have a moderator for a community as big as KDE that tells users looking for help to learn to code. Looking at you, @Bro666@lemmy.kde.social. Suppose to be a support community, and if anyone reports an issue or concern, he calls them rude and dismisses them with a repost of his article to go code it yourself. That’s helpful to no one. If I were new to Lemmy and KDE, that would have made me leave both. Toxic mods are a problem.

Yeah, wasn’t suggesting they were. KDE uses them. Since they’re not willing to take user feedback, thought I’d mention it here.

Ah. Thought I’d offended you. Spock spelled with the wrong vowel can be a very racist word. I’d finished watching the breaking indictment news, sat down to dinner in front of the computer and re-read the thread, saw my mispelled sig and panicked. So I started re-reading every comment to see if I’d offended someone, as my comment with the mispelling had two downvotes.

Noooo? Why? Did I say something robot like? When I was younger I could dance the robot… about the only thing I could dance, too.

It seems that they censor comments to. In a thread earlier it seems that every time anyone hosted they tried to coment the f-slur and it got changed to either removed in italics or for some users just ******. Kinda sketchy if you ask me.

That was a typo, it was suppose to say PseudoSpock. I am extremely sorry to have had it with that offensive misspelling. I’ve fixed it.

Thank you, everyone. Found my new home. What was odd was that this thread I created (Hi, I’m also HR_Pufnstuf) experienced the same problem with all threads in the Technology community… where I can’t see any of the comments except my own. Luckily I was able to find all your comments in my inbox. After visiting all your wonderfull suggestions, save for the kbin’s, I’ve chosen to settle here. I’ll keep the lemmy.world around as a backup.
