I used jitsi extensively with my students during the pandemic. It really is a lot better now, and very easy to use.
Not sure if this is the reason but hexbear’s metrics tend to trip bot activity safety nets. So it may not be voluntary.

Yeah the link seems dead. Don’t know what the other guy was suggesting but I used lemmony, which works quite well despite being a bit on the clunky side.

No, that is the crux of the matter. They used freedom, which offered .ml for free.
I’ve seen a couple active on Lemmy.world lately, but nothing out of the ordinary. They’ll be back though, one way or the other. We have to be aware of that.
