In my opinion, social media is a bigger problem than smartphones in general. For me a smartphone is a just a tool that can be both incredibly useful but also very harmful.

With a bit of knowhow, you can neuter a smartphone so kids can’t access social media, games, and other distracting mediums. No social media apps, no browser access, no YouTube, no games. But they can still access useful functions like calculators, the torch, phone calls and messages, etc. Android and iOS both have features allowing parents to do this.

On mobile, which is where I primarily use YT, the official app with premium doesn’t even have sponsorblock or dearrow or blocking shorts. It’s genuinely a worse experience than revanced which is free.

If I was to pay for premium, I’d want the above features at the very least.

I sure would. I’m not one of those people who scoffs at modern cars.

Environmental reasons aside, they tend to have lots of bells and whistles that cars like my 20 year old Toyota doesn’t have. Parking sensors, better climate control, a multimedia system, etc.

I like my car but I’d swap it for an EV without a second thought if it was possible!
