I read it the article, but why did the government pass something like that? They had to realize that there would be substantial pushback. And what’s with all of the violence? 110 deaths is absolutely insane.

What’s going on in Bangladesh? First I’ve heard of anything going on.
That I’m bored? Okay.
No, I just see an individual that lacks the creativity to think of any big boy words to express their emotions. I’m bored and you’re being rather entertaining. Please, keep going.
Aww sweetheart. Don’t get your Pampers in a twist. Lol
You can say ass on the internet.
You seriously think that there liberals that think “Dark Brandon” is real? Lol. Get out of here man…
Simmer down there Karen. It’s supposed to be funny. It’s not supposed to be taken seriously.
I’m not going to say they’re not real or not sentient. But I will absolutely say that they are selfish. They lack the empathy required to understand how things will affect others. They lack the willingness to sacrifice for the greater good. They lack the humility required to understand that they could be wrong, and the critical reasoning required to change their views in the face of new evidence.
Almost every conservative I’ve ever met is either extremely rich or lives in microcosm. Hell, I’ve got extended family that have never travelled outside of their hometown and anything foreign or different to them is either ridiculed or shunned.
They want a social hierarchy, and they want their place in it preserved. God forbid people get equitable standing.
They can be used on each of the following carrier’s: AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon (except for prepaid plans and Number Share), Ting, Mint, US Mobile.
So, I’m not sure what you mean by providers who give “free upgrades”…
It’s cheaper than most smart phones and does everything you need it to do without games and social media.
A Light Phone or Light phone 2 is capable of doing literally everything you need from a smart phone without the bloat and distraction. It’s legitimate with most service providers as well.
There’s viable options out there that aren’t “flip phones”.
Hey! Would you be willing to sell some of them? Looking at setting up a server at home that some of my friends and neighbors can use. I was going to buy them brand new, but I’d be fine with used if your interested in getting rid of some of them.
100%. This actually works. Most boomers are not technologically late enough to track subscriptions and such.
There was a YouTube video not a documentary (similar to The Brainwashing of My Dad) where their father went down the rabbithole, but they started subscribing them to better news sources, and eventually to left-leaning news sources, and he did a whole 180°.
Fear is like a drug. It’s addictive, and rightwing media sources have cracked the formula on how to get people addicted to it, and it can happen to ANYONE. The uneducated to the well-educated. The only thing that makes you immune to it is critical thinking and empathy - which is why I feel that their next war is on education and masculinity. They are literally trying to perfect the addiction so you can never leave it.
This is part of the reason why education is so insanely important.
There’s some growing pains, but within a federated system, I think there needs to be community aggregation at a certain point. There’s no need to host 50 different identical communities, and it’s arguable that it makes things worse. I’m hoping that someone will eventually be able to develope the tools to easily allow for community aggregation in the future.
I wonder if they’ll ever do Bootcamps for any other engineering positions. I mean a Bootcamp Electrical Engineer would be absolutely comical, but I could honestly see there being something like Bootcamp for specific focuses. For degrees like electrical, where the items you learn about in school are often outdated, offering some sort of “What’s New” per field (microelectronics, processor designs, fiber optics, quantum computing, etc) might actually be pretty useful.
That’s foul…but handy. Ive only had one sinus infection and the only thing that made me aware of it was the intense headache. Yeah, sounds like you have them often…I don’t know how you do it. The vertigo was the absolute worst.
I used it to write a kickass counteroffer for an internal job promotion. I was pissed off with the offer and wrote out what I REALLY thought. I asked GPT to clean it up and respond with and upbeat and positive response where I’m eager to work with them.
ChatGPT about to help me get an $18k raise.
