I had to stop playing a recent BG3 save where I was trying a character who sometimes randomly kills people.

I wish I could get my head around programming. I’ve tried learning from books, I’ve tried learning from codecademy, and all I can do is follow the lessons, I don’t understand how I’m supposed to turn all these lines of gibberish into a program that does something. The most common bit of advice I get is “Just make up a project! Find something that you want the computer to do, it’s easy and fun!” And I’m over here like… “OK, how?” It’s like someone pointing to a pile of metal and a welder and saying “Build something!” Sure, someone who knows how to weld can do that, but most people are going to need more information.
I learned a lot, and made a lot of IRL friends, on various message boards over the years. ADVrider.com used to be a lot of fun but I haven’t checked it out lately. One thing that was cool was looking for vehicle-specific forums, like a forum for EX-500’s or F150’s. These forums were great for keeping whatever car you have running, and were full of knowledge on the problems found in specific cars. A lot of them still exist.
But not the faraday cage around the telematics unit.
If that were the case, there would be traffic jams in tunnels across the country due to disabled cars.
May be able to find and remove whatever it’s using as a cellphone antenna.
I’m back and forth between my Lamy Safari and my Pilot Metropolitan.
No, it’s an old Suzuki Samurai. More of a box kite than a hot air balloon.
I have a vehicle that is powered by fire, does that count?
The only dangerous minority is the rich.
I worry that some rocket magician with an MBA will decide we can just use FreeCAD and stop paying for these silly Solidworks or Autodesk licenses.
Low-quality bait is Low-quality.
How about acute radiation sickness?
This is especially frustrating when trying to find parts for vehicles or machinery. Used to, one could search for something like “1988 Suzuki Samurai Oil Filter” and get the answer for all the common filter brands. But now all you get is links to an auto parts website, where you have to use their shitty search function and hope they have what you need.
I don’t like fishing.
It’s not because “eww, worms” or “eww, fish”. It’s two things. The big thing is, I don’t want to hurt some small animal like a worm or bait fish, just so that I can hurt some other animal by dragging them into an environment where they can’t breathe. Oh, but the humane thing to do is toss them back? Imagine being pulled out of an airlock into the vacuum of space, photographed, measured, and then put back in the airlock? I don’t need to do all of that to some critter just for fun. Which brings me to the second thing about fishing that I don’t like : It’s not fun. It’s boring. It’s so boring. Just stand here and hope a fish eventually bites.
