It’s pretty wild…my company recently spent 2.5 billion for fab upgrade, spent the money, and applied for chips act money about a year into the process. As far as I know we haven’t received any yet and I hope it goes through because I’m sure a lot of good and honest people will lose their jobs if the company needs to find whatever Chips act was gonna pay.
Set her up with a lemmy account…it’s better than random flowers she’ll love it!
Group sex…
I’ve got 7 hours left at work I’ll drum something up for you…
Only if it wants too
Three years in and at least one more to go where I work for our fab upgrade…could probably pull off new build in 4 or less not having to deal with production/cleanroom and depending on bldg/campus size.
Try that with the screen at $300 a pop, I got out of the repair biz a few years after glue and large amounts of underfill in weird fucking places started becoming common place…such a pain in the ass!
That’s a frickin deal…my foundry expanded half a floor downstairs and converted 6in wafer tools to 8 in upstairs for about 20 or so different tools and the price tag 2.2 billion.
Ha wafer thin margins funny!!! Side note you ever watched them pull/crystallize silicone ingots it’s pretty frickin cool to see.
They need asml lithography equipment without which they are a nothing burger and to get that you need to play nice with US and EU.
We absolutely do the society I live in even the homeless have cell phones and I haven’t ran into anyone without one in decades
Wywinn is a 12 year old $7 billion in revenue cloud infrastructure provider (originally a subsidiary of Wistron Corp) and represents 10-15% of worldwide server procurement…they are pretty serious and come from a very serious business background.
Right Texas power grid good west coast power grid bad…I’m NW born and raised never once dealt with controlled blackouts
You from Texas?
Everyone in IT wants to be ahead of the curve but we wind up being reactionary because if it ain’t broke don’t fix it…but it will break if we don’t do this…is it broken now…no but it will be…so it’s not broken we are good to go.
I’m about to take all your shit out of economic desperation…it’d be one thing if we didn’t have literal free food everywhere and free shelter may not be what you like but it’s there plus we give fucking smartphones away for free in the USA.
Sounds an awful lot like some coworkers
They aren’t going to be competitive in their foundry with them laying off so many experienced operators. I work at a fab down the street from intel and our hiring classes went from 10 every other week to 20-30 now.
You haven’t updated your networking equipment in 6 years?
