There’s no risk for a factory condition unit. This rumor started after people with units that had been dissasembled and reassembled had issues with vertical orientation. It turned out that it’s very easy to mess up the seals that keep the liquid metal thermal interface in place. So units that had been previously taken apart had liquid metal slowly leak, causing overheating and/or shorting.
If you haven’t taken the cooler off the mainboard, using the vertical stand is just fine. I haven’t seen any evidence of factory assembled units suffering leaking. It does imply that user servicing of ps5’s is a bit risky, and you might need to be wary of used units where you don’t necessarily know the service history.
To avoid unnecessary confusion, taking the covers off to add an m.2 ssd does not add any risk.
We don’t even have AGI at datacenter scale. Expecting AGI in a mobile platform that runs off batteries is just wishful thinking at this point.
Prime video should also have to sink or swim on its own.
The whole point of captchas is to train bots. Did you think they were all road object and optical character recognition based because those are the categories humans really excel at?
A smart tv without an internet connection is usually close enough to a dumb TV. It’s not like your TV needs regular security updates so leaving it off your home network is fine.

There is also the issue that if building nuclear plants takes too long and is too expensive to be the solution, then such a project would also be too late to matter. Also transmission losses likely mean this is a solution for much less of the world population than you think. If we had a truly global lossless grid, then we would need much less energy storage to begin with.
Impracticalities aside, absurd geoengineering what-ifs are entertaining. Thanks for sharing.
Pumped hydro is both very geologically limited and environmentally detrimental. That technology alone will not substantially reduce the need for other power storage technologies/ peaker plants.
RealPage can afford to send justices on very nice vacations as a gratuity.
Yes, he was the first orange person to be hired as president. He was hired despite Hillary getting more votes because he was the DEI candidate.
No, the company is publically listed with around 1 Bil market cap.
My wife worked for a company that was heavily reliant on generating leads from ads. They had lots of real time monitoring of conversion rates to make sure they were actually making more money than they were spending on the ads. They would have to turn ad channels off all the time because the return on ad spend went negative.
So my conclusion is that ads can be somewhat effective for companies, but if they don’t actively monitor and control the performance of their ads, they’re probably just burning money. A lot of companies seem to advertise because they think that’s the only way to grow.
Now I need to see a hallmark movie where an out of touch business executive gets stranded in a small town and learns how to identify all squares with crosswalks, bicycles, signs, and traffic lights.
Some of the worst lab accidents involve imbalanced centrifuges. The rotors essentially explode when they fail. Making a centrifuge that you could film the contents of sounds like it would lack the proper shielding to contain a failure.
I wouldn’t trust the average youtuber to know just how dangerous such a setup could be.
Sssshh don’t go telling Nicholas Cage where our national treasures are kept.
The bit about powdered sumac (bark?) being a powerful dye for marble is pretty interesting. I wish there was an example photo.
That’s only true for areas of land that aren’t visibly occupied. Entering any building without permission is considered first degree trespassing in my state, and I don’t think that’s a unique definition. Traversing the land near a dwelling is considered second degree trespass.
Getting hit on at the polls is a great way to make voting even more uncomfortable.
Best to stick to polite chit chat, and otherwise avoid bothering people when they’re voting.
