Having read the story, this is just the newest iteration of the 90s 800 sex line jobs. We invent some new kind of communication and it immediately is used to seperates horny people from their money.

I just want you to know this is one of my favorite comments of all time.
I look for broken but working sff/tiny deals. Scored a sweet i5 7500 /16gb system for $100CAD. Just had a broken audio port I was never going to use.
Ish, over the medium to long term Nvidia will have to start paying dividends that align with the cost of the share. Otherwise the market will leave for better paying, lower cost stocks.
Yes, say there are 2^33 people for illustrations sake, by 33 decisions you (the first puller) are guaranteed to be dead too. At 32 it’s 50/50, the odds increase as the decisions get made. From a self preservation standpoint the best thing you can do to minimize your personal risk is pull the lever. It also happens to kill the fewest other people.
The only out is nobody pulls the lever.
ChatGPT has been a great tool to help me teach coding. It lets my students with a few months experience write better code, as if they had a few extra months experience, but like you say it’s very easy to get in trouble with it. We had it generate some code to interface a web app with some cloud triggers, and chatGPT suggested we put all the API keys / creds right there in the front end where anyone with “view source” could see them. It made for a really good lesson, actually, on the need to gain experience, understand what code does , and to validate with documentation.
Oh snap yea, sorry I focused on the 7700k vs 6700k when I viewed the sheet. For my money the 7700 wins out. Cheaper price, 65w vs 91w, benchmarks showing comparable performance. In any case I’m sure you’ll be happy either way.
The caveat being if you even planned on tinkering with an overclock. But if you are power cost sensitive I think you probably aren’t interested.
I think you need to check out a few more benchmarking results than passmark. Check this out:
Look at that 7700 non-K , 26W lower power use and within 10% performance on professional video use cases like yours vs the 7700k. Plus the quicksync update like others pointed out. What’s the used price in your market like?
Asleep all night, snoring drugs.
