Its a cool idea that I’ve heard other people express. Like star trek teleporters in sci fi, and the beginnings of it in real life with CRISPR and other gene editing technologies.

I use chatGPT for any topic I’m curious about, and like half the time when i double check the answers it turns out they’re wrong.
For example i asked for a list of phones with screens that don’t use PWM, and when i looked up the specs of the phones it recommended it turned out they all had PWM, even though in the chatGPT answer it explicitly stated that each of these phones don’t use PWM. Why does it straight up lie?!
But that has nothing to do with this topic. The topic here is having a rewards chip built into a bag, which is what i was saying is a bad idea.

You have reward card chips in your shopping bags?
Why? Sounds terrible. So many down sides.
Yeah honestly I don’t really understand what OP is trying to say.
As a non-programmer, why does it do this? Sorting by leftmost digit seems super dumb.
That’s not general anesthesia, that’s like twilight anesthesia or some other term like that.
Sleep is NOTHING like death. You’re still experiencing lots of stuff, you still very much have a sense of self, you’re still thinking things, your brain is still processing lots of information.
General anesthesia - now THAT is a real close period to what being dead is.
You can use the wayback machine to see how Reddit was at any point in the past. I was there from even before subreddits were a thing, and yeah it was pretty great. The fediverse does have a bit of that feel.
NO! This is terrible science reporting! The study doesn’t say it MAKES you sad, the report said it’s ASSOCIATED with being sad. There was NO causation in this study. It could just as easily be that sadness leads to eating processed food, which seems at least as likely as the other way around. And it could equally as likely be that some 3rd factor is what’s causing both the junk food eating and the sadness.
OP if you care at all about being honest and not spreading misinformation then you should delete your blog post and this lemmy post.

Seems like it adds almost as many confusing things as it takes away. Maybe with some work it might potentially be helpful, but as it stands now I don’t think this’ll help most people understand the fediverse. IMO
That graphic is dope!
Only if you were born on January 1, otherwise you have to do a simple ±1 math
Yup, knock on wood, I’ve had lots of Seagate drives over the decades and I’ve never had any of them go bad. I’ve had two WD drives and they both failed
