It’s wild to me that kbin has users, for all the problems it seems to have.

If something is marketed as “unlimited”, I don’t think there is such a thing as “wildly excessive use”. This isn’t a competitive eater going to an all-you-can-eat buffet and being mad about getting kicked out. It’s a business using a service in a way that’s seemingly in-line with what they paid for.
My dream is for Spotify (and other music playing apps) to let you customize your shuffle algorithm. Minimum number of songs between repeating an artist or album, that sort of thing.
I already wasn’t getting good vibes from your comments, but the use of “FUD” is a surefire way to lose credibility.

The last time this was posted, people were speculating that Apple does donation matching for employees, so they only did this unconsciously.
I wasn’t aware small instances were hiding the all feed, but honestly I’m not opposed. If people want to run Lemmy instances the same way forums used to dot the internet, that’d be cool. Users having the ability to chime in with their kbin account or whatever is just a nice perk for ease of use.
I had one of those! So cool, loved not having a giant glowing thing on my wrist but still receiving notifications.
