At 0.25€/kWh thats 27€ a year.
Not bad, I mean if he’s transcoding 24/7!
Exactly.
“Why didn’t you make more commits last sprint?” Is such an idiotic take, that a friend of mine got a month or so ago.
He worked with another programmer and they comitted with his PC so… Didn’t help, was still bashed for it because of “the numbers”.
Sometimes they just need excuses to fire people too I guess.
Linux drama good drama IMO
The nice thing IMO about Linux is that it’s “learn and forget”, you only need to learn things once (like sudo, apt-get or whete is the home dir and what is it), it won’t be randomly changed in an upcoming forced update.
So we will see some insane stuff from Elox to take the spotlight from this or meh?
Thanks for the feedback!
A docker could make the setup run, and if I rework where I store the data (now it’s in the same folder as the listener so it needs a special tweak in the docker files) but the problem is the 10f executable that you use to share files with, it’s a command line app so it would be weird to put that in a docker IMO.
Also, using docker images isn’t really simple?
You are right though, simpler is better.
What do you think about a setup script instead? Like
forward a port to your PC
run the setup script with your public IP:PORT (or just the port and let the script auto-detect the IP)
start the listener
Or should I still work on that? I can make a gui that helps setting everything up and run I guess.
Connect :-)
Thanks, didn’t know!
sado
BTW how do you do the red text?
Just curious, git doesn’t touch untracked files though?
And mergetool ?
I don’t use push/pull btw.
I’m working on a protocol for decentralised hosting, ironing out a vulnerability now but it should be up for test in a month or so.
Just have to buy 1100 panels 😋 but then the price is 0.055€/watt …
I Want one, but only one or a couple, to put on my balcony…
And Sweden.
Spent lots of effort to get names for my kids that avoid this. Swedish/French. It’s harder than it sounds.
I want the char 8 that makes a beep.
I know how email works but it sure didn’t help me understand the fediverse.
It’s just one thing in email servers functioning that is similar in the fediverse, everything else is not similar. It is just confusing to compare the two to anyone not yet knowing how the fediverse works IMO.
“It’s like the postal service!”
“It’s like the internet!”
Just say it’s like reddit (or a social media) but free and open and anyone can have/make one, or use an existing one. For free.
