Same here. I did a little googling and can’t find any corroborating evidence, but I also learned that Hammond’s Grand Tour insurance premiums are now more expensive than Top Gear’s budgets were for entire specials.

Were Richard Hammond’s many crashes a result of cost skimping? If so, I had no idea. Could you elaborate?
No, it’s clear you are simply applying the number in an attempt to discredit their logic, but the current number of countries has nothing to do with the fact that the British started spelling and pronouncing it differently, not the Americans.
And it wouldn’t be a big deal if you were capable of acknowledging that languages evolve regionally and that the evolutions are valid. But you can’t do that because it would ruin your ability to shame other English-speaking countries for their own regional linguistic evolutions whenever they diverge from the UK.
Their explanation does nothing to justify the number of countries that use that pronunciation. It merely denotes the etymological history.

And it may be illegal in some states to not offer the customer an actual refund.
They tried to rebrand because they had an incredibly low customer satisfaction rating associated with Comcast (I wonder why?). I worked for that horrible company during the rebrand and they told us as much. It actually did end up positively affecting consumer opinion (because people are morons), so much so that Time Warner Cable and Cablevision followed suit a few years later rebranding their services respectively to Spectrum and Optimum.
The number of those comments that are deleted sure went up a couple of months ago. I wonder what happened 🤔
Wow, that’s quite the spread between the two.
Where are you seeing 1.2m users? This site says that it tracks all instances and only shows 0.96m users total and 62k users in the past month.
Only problem I have with voyager is the bug where it sometimes won’t let you comment. Error message says I must select a language in my Lemmy profile, but I already have two languages selected. I emailed the dev, and he amazingly responded in like 3 minutes with a kind explanation that he’s already working on a fix.
Life definitely feels simpler here and nice, like I moved from a huge and toxic metropolis to a wonderful small town, but I would still like this town to grow into a city.
You lost me at the end there.
How’d you do this from Mastadon?
