Sounds like a good kind of library card, what country are they from?
Here in the Nethers I need to pay with my bank (not fully anonymous) and register with my national ID card or passport (not at all anonymous) for a library card in my city.

I mean I can’t blame them, the language’s phonosyntactics are very different from French, it’s hard to pronounce in general and sounds awful to boot.

It’s a bit cherry picked, but only a bit, since there are a few languages that just copied the English word later on.
Japanese and Korean come to mind.

You’d need to figure out what word this is, and then visualise every third letter of it. Which you can’t do if you have it!

I’ve had that once, as well as some websites running inexplicably slow on FF.

I changed my user agent to a recent Chrome one and that solved it issue.
Moral of the story? Websites are discriminating.

I’d prefer base 12, but with given the current state of numeric affairs I’d much prefer metric time over using metric for everything except time (and screen diagonals)

That way, with decimal time, large scale planning becomes much easier to grasp. This part of the project takes 3.475 days (=3 days, 4 hours and 75 minutes), 200€/h from the customer makes that part days × 2000€ = 6950€…

I overheard someone talking about veganism and said they only eat plants. I asked them about mushrooms, “of course it’s fine, those are plants”.
