I know it’s the intended way but I’m too much of a modal noob for that, I’m actually working on a non-modal editor for this reason that’s similar to helix and fish philosophies
no, the autocomplete trigger is rly bad and triggers when moving the cursor around instead of when you actually type It’s a documented problem and they are working on fixing it
Helix’s autocomplete is too bad for me to be able to like it
Fireship often talks about big tech and AI, thats why they have a chapter on it. I dont rly give a damn either but it’s interesting to take note of
Haha yeah I meant that I was studying computer science im France and not studying french. Here in France, bachelor are called licence and are only 3 years compared to 4 in north america afaik, but there are way fewer electives
Im having a mandatory compiler course on my 3rd year of (french) bachelor

I love Helix but for some reason there is a heavy lack of code snippets and good autocompletion in C. Everything else is great tho
But it is extremely time-consuming. Open source code makes it transparent and easy to read, that’s what it is about: transparency
A decompiler doesnt give you access to the comments, variable names, which is an important part of every source code

bandcamp and piracy are still the main routes. try to look at the artist’s soundcloud too for links to what they use. some genres (like trance for me) still heavily use soundcloud
